Many adults only resorts cater to swingers.
We have been to several of these resorts, but our absolute favourite is Desire Resort in Cancun, Mexico.
Here you will meet many fabulous like-minded couples and develop some great friendships. They have a large pool area and during the day you can sunbake, read a book, chat to new friends, or partake in the fun games that the entertainment staff put on for you such as pool volleyball, stand up surfing contest, as well as the popular “Marriage Game Show” where you find out lots about other couples!
After the daytime activities there is a disco that everyone will head up to. Beside the disco is the famous “playroom” where there are 6 beds in a dimly lit room. The beds are just big enough to squeeze 6 people onto comfortably as we found out! (That was a fun night!).
After the disco and playroom closes about 1am, most people head up to the large Jacuzzi. Here is where everyone is having a drink by the jacuzzi bar, meeting, mingling, and when the mood strikes there are about 8 four poster beds for you to take your new friend(s) over to for another awesome Desire Resort experience.
Temptations is another one of the great adults only resorts. Classy, sexy and erotic, but without the full ‘in your face’ open sex. As part of the Original Resorts group, the leaders in erotic resorts, they have carefully and tastefully captured two important niches in adult all inclusive resort vacations. Temptations are currently located at Riviera Maya (near Cancun) and Los Cabos (near Cabo San Lucas). Temptations is a topless optional resort, but it is not mandatory to be topless.
Hedonism, or Hedo as it is commonly known is another popular erotic destination. Located in Jamaica, it’s seen as more of a party destination with an anything goes type atmosphere. The resort is divided between nude and a fully clothed area.
Caliente is another option. There is a resort in Tampa Florida, or Caribe in the Domincan Republic. They are adults only resorts but they are generally touted as nudist resorts. Occasionally they do hold lifestyle events and lifestyle ‘nights’.
Desire resort is seen as the favourite for most swingers we know. There are so many repeat guests, that every time we go, we are guaranteed to know someone. Quite often, the friends we have made there will all confer as to when they are booking and often we’ll all book around the same time. Desire is clothing optional, which means you can wear as much or as little as you want (most prefer the latter).
